The CAY-SHU is a 10cm Shure standard mini XLR plug (TA4F) to female 3.5mm mini jack cable especially designed to connect non-Shure headsets, like the RØDE HS2, to Shure beltpack transmitters. The female 3.5mm minijack also features a locking nut to securely connect a 3.5mm headset cable to the CAY-SHU without having to worry that it will come loose.

 

HOW TO USE THE CAY-SHU

The setup example as shown below features the RØDE HS2 and the Shure BLX1288a Wireless receiver setup. Shure beltpacks feature a 4 pin XLR (TA4F) design that makes it exclusively compatible with Shure headsets. The CAY-SHU is constructed in such a way that it allowes for other headsets, like the RØDE HS2, to be used on Shure beltpacks.This makes the choice in headsets that can be used with the Shure system a lot broader.
