CAY1
-
FULL SIZE XLR(M) TO MINI JACK(M)
-
40 CM CABLE
- NEUTRIK CONNECTORS
The CAY1 is a a 40cm XLR to 3.5mm minijack cable especially designed to connect a XLR microphone to a camera (or any other device with a 3.5mm TRS connector) that only has a 3.5mm minijack connector. The ring and sleeve of the minijack connector are connected to eachother so both channels will be filled with the same mono signal. |
HOW TO USE THE CAY1
The setup example as shown below features the Panasonic GH5, a 4K mirrorless Micro Four Thirds camera, and an RĂ˜DE NTG-2, that can be connected via the Peppercable CAY1. The Panasonic GH5 is one of many camera's that contains a 3.5mm mini Jack input to record audio from a externa microphone. Bear in mind that the CAY 1 does not deliver phantom power so if there is a condensor microphone used, it needs to have an option to be powered by batteries. Dynamic microphones can be connected directly.
